Are you Certified Organic?

No, we are not Certified Organic. We are planning to start the certifying process this season. You can read more about how we grow here.

What happens if I forget to pick up my share?

It is your responsibility to pickup your CSA Share or send a friend to do so for you. If you forget, your farmers will donate your share to a local food bank or a family in need. There will be no alternate arrangements made for missed pickups.

What happens if I am going to be out of town and unable to pick up my share?

If you will be out of town during a week of the CSA, please find a friend or coworker to enjoy your share while you're out of town. Or we can donate your share to the local food bank or a family.

When can I sign up for a 2018 Summer CSA Share?

We will open CSA Registration on February 1, 2018.

How much does a share cost per week?

We do our best to keep the cost of our CSA reasonable. The CSA comes out to ~$33 per week for Local Members and $35 for Telluride Area Members.

  • 10 Week Fall CSA Season costs $350 + applicable sales tax

Where should I mail payment?

Please mail your check for the CSA made out to Mountain Roots Produce to 41095 Road G, Mancos, CO 81328. You can also pay for your CSA share online. Please note, a 3% charge is applied for online payments to cover the processing fees, if you wish to avoid this expense you can pay via check.

What kind of vegetables/fruit will be in the CSA Share?

The CSA Share will include seasonal produce that is ready to harvest that week.

We plan to grow a large variety of produce that includes but is not limited to the following: salad greens, head lettuce, spinach, arugula, mustard greens, kale, chard, collards, napa cabbage, bok choy, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, basil, cilantro, carrots, beets, turnips, radishes, parsnips, rutabaga, onions, garlic, leeks, potatoes, green beans, fava beans, snow peas, snap peas, fennel, celery, celeriac, zucchini, cucumbers, winter squash, red and green cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli. Please note, every growing season is different and we cannot make any guarantees on what produce will be available in the CSA Shares.

Will I/we be able to visit the farm?

Yes! Our Local Members will pick up once a week at the farm during the CSA Season but all of our CSA Members are welcome to come and visit the farm by making an appointment. We feel it is healthy and important for the CSA Members to see the land where their food is being grown. We will host a Field Day at the farm in 2018, stay tuned.
