Dahlia Tuber Sale Details

Dahlia Tuber Shop Re-Opens on Tuesday March 5th 2024 at 9am MST.

Dahlia Tuber Varieties: You can preview the dahlia tuber varieties we plan to have available by checking out the Dahlia Tuber Shop. We will disable the Dahlia Shop on Monday night to upload our inventory - so make your wishlists ahead of time! The shop will not be visible again until 9am on March 5th when we launch the sale!

Shipping: All orders will be sent out via USPS Priority Mail. We plan to start shipping orders mid-April, weather permitting. You will receive tracking info via email as soon as you order ships. Each order will be charged $15 for shipping/handling. We will not be combining orders/refunding shipping charges this year as Spring is such a busy time of year on our farm.

On Farm Pickup: If you’re local and want to avoid paying the shipping/handling fees, select the ‘On Farm Pickup’ option at checkout. If you choose this option, your dahlia tubers will be available for pickup at our farm in Mancos, Colorado - on Saturday April 27th from 10 am - 2pm. Our farm address and additional information will be emailed to you prior to the pickup date. Please note - Dahlia Tubers must be picked up on April 27th. There will not be alternate pickup days/times and we will not issue refunds for dahlia tubers that are not picked during the dates/time listed above.

Create an Account: You can now create an Account and have the ability to enter your address and payment info prior to the Dahlia Sale. If that is of interest to you, please head to our website and click on the 'Sign In' tab at the top.

Limits on Rare Varieties: Please note we have set limits on a handful of the varieties that are rare and available in low quantities. This is to help get these unique varieties out to more growers. Please respect the limits set on those varieties - if the limits are not followed they will be refunded and not included in your order.

Dahlia Tuber Disclaimer: All of our dahlia tuber listings are for one individual tuber, with some varieties being made available in quantities of 1, 3 or 10 as noted in product descriptions. All the dahlia tubers we sell were grown, cared for, dug and divided at our farm in Mancos, Colorado. The size, shape and character of tubers varies by variety. Some are short and stout, others are long and skinny, etc. All the tubers we sell will have at least one visible eye.

Please open and inspect your package as soon as it arrives and place it in storage until you’re ready to plant. We recommend storing them in a dark, cool location that doesn’t freeze, where the tubers can begin to wake up prior to planting.

Mountain Roots Produce does not issue dahlia tuber refunds for improper growing conditions and/or storage conditions after shipment. We cannot be held responsible for any damage, rot or disease that happens in storage or in the field/garden post shipment.

All dahlia tuber sales are final.

I’m excited to share these beauties with you and hope they flourish in your garden or fields this summer. Here’s to a wonderful growing season!

New to growing Dahlias?

We put together a Growing Guide with info on how we grow dahlias at our farm, both in a high tunnel (unheated greenhouse) and in the field.

We are located in the high desert at roughly 7200’. Our growing season is short, and exciting. Dahlias grow great here and we would LOVE to help you add them to your garden or farm.

If you’re interested in on farm workshops - we’re planning to host a few this year. Check out the Workshops page for more info and to stay in the loop!
